Spring Portfolio
The Spring Portfolio dashboard shows which Spring Boot and Spring Framework versions the applications in the fleet use, and how many of them are already past OSS support.

Spring Portfolio as presented in Axelix UI
Every Spring Boot and Spring Framework line (a minor version branch such as 3.5.x) has a limited OSS support window. Once
it closes, the line gets no more community releases, security fixes included: new
CVEs in it are fixed only under a commercial subscription. In a fleet of dozens of applications it
is hard to tell which of them are already past this date and which will be next. Spring Portfolio answers this for the
whole fleet at once.
The page is read-only and available to every authenticated user: VIEWER, EDITOR, ADMIN, and SUPER_ADMIN can all open it. See Roles and authorities for the full role/authority matrix.
What the page shows
A summary on top shows how many applications the fleet has and for how many of them the OSS support window has already closed. An application counts as supported only when both its Spring Boot and its Spring Framework still receive OSS updates.
Below, the page shows Spring Boot and Spring Framework separately. For each of them, you can see:
- How many applications run on an OSS-supported line.
- How the applications are spread across major versions and lines, for example
3.5.x. - Whether each line still receives OSS updates.
The last part shows the OSS support window of every line in use on a timeline: when the line was released, when its OSS support ends or ended, and how many applications run on it. It shows how much time is left before the next lines go out of support.
How it works
Master records the Spring Boot and Spring Framework versions of each application once a day and uses the latest record. An application counts once however many instances it runs. An application that stopped reporting stays on the page with the versions it last reported.
The support dates come from the schedules published by the Spring team, for example the Spring Boot support window.
