Overview

The Overview dashboard shows which versions of Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Java, and Kotlin the applications in the fleet use.

LegacyOnly needed before release: 1.2.0.

The Overview dashboard is removed in Axelix 1.2.0. Spring Boot and Spring Framework versions of the fleet are shown on the Spring Portfolio dashboard instead.

In a fleet of dozens of applications it is hard to tell which versions of the key components are in use and which of them is the most common. The Overview dashboard answers this for the whole fleet at once, and lets you jump from a version to the list of instances that run on it.

The page is read-only and available to every authenticated user: VIEWER, EDITOR, ADMIN, and SUPER_ADMIN can all open it. See Roles and authorities for the full role/authority matrix.

What the page shows

The page shows which versions of Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Java, and Kotlin the fleet uses and what share of instances runs each of them:

  • Spring Boot and Spring Framework: by line, for example 3.5.
  • Java: by version number, for example 21.
  • Kotlin: by line, only among instances that have Kotlin on the classpath. When the fleet has none, Kotlin is not shown.

For each component, the most common version is highlighted separately.

Opening applications on the Wallboard

Click a version to open the Wallboard filtered to the instances that run this version, for example Spring Boot = 3.5. Hold Ctrl, Cmd, or Shift while clicking to open it in a new tab.
